What SeaETA processes
Route searches are sent to SeaETA's server to calculate an approximate maritime route and transit estimate. Server logs may temporarily include technical request information such as IP address, timestamp, and errors for security and reliability.
Browser storage
Recent searches and your analytics preference are stored in your browser. Recent searches are not used for analytics and can be removed by clearing this site's browser data.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics and Google Ads load only after you accept analytics. SeaETA records coarse product events such as completed calculations and copied links, but does not send route coordinates or full location labels. You can change your choice using “Privacy settings.”
Map and search providers
Mapbox provides map rendering and may process technical information under its own privacy terms. Location-search and map requests are subject to the relevant provider's policies.
Your choices
You may reject analytics without losing calculator functionality. To request access, correction, or deletion of server-side personal data, contact the site operator through the SeaETA GitHub repository.
